This is an 18-point chart showing Bronx buildings of architectural, cultural, or social importance, all of which were bulldozed or burned out of existence between 1906 and 2018. It’s unique in the series in that it includes an entry titled simply “A Tenement Building,” meant to represent the hundreds of tenements built in the early 20th century and burned down in the mid-1970s “arson epidemic” or “landlord insurance fraud trend,” however you want to look at it. Otherwise, I’m a fan of the Piccirilli Studio and Janes & Kirtland Forge. Both these places made some impressive statuary over the years. Printed in an open edition, signed and dated on reverse.
