Birdseye View of Dawson, Yukon Ter., 1903 36x24” print ($60 CAD)
This bird's eye view of Dawson City, Yukon, was drawn by an H. Epting of which not much is known, and originally lithographed by the BC Printing & Engraving Corporation in 1903. It was sold through the Dawson City town council at a dollar a copy, though not in a large enough quantity to find a place in history: John Reps' definitive 1984 catalogue of North American birds-eye views missed this one. Too bad. That colour? That depth? Pretty singular in the genre.
