To give you a quick tour of this place, the “portfolio” section is a 30-project overview of my fave illustrations from the last decade, a mix of editorial, commercial, and personal work. The “shop” section includes dozens and dozens of my art prints, some of which are personal projects, and others that are reprints of illustrations of mine that have earned lives outside of their original context.
Italian Futurism & Crowded Skies 17x22” print ($60 CAD)

In December of 2012 I had the pleasure of making a visual essay for the Italian men's magazine Il Sole 24 Ore, and in it I decided to take on one of the most dear-to-Italy art movements: Italian Futurism. This selection points to the movement's air travel fetish, and suggests that while airplanes were cutting edge symbols of freedom, speed, industry and violent motion in 1914, the reality of air travel in 2012 involves delays, regulation, air traffic control, endless safety drills and crowded skies. Printed in an open edition, signed and dated on reverse.
