To give you a quick tour of this place, the “portfolio” section is a 30-project overview of my fave illustrations from the last decade, a mix of editorial, commercial, and personal work. The “shop” section includes dozens and dozens of my art prints, some of which are personal projects, and others that are reprints of illustrations of mine that have earned lives outside of their original context.
Kali the Destroyer 17x22” print ($60 CAD)

I would never have guessed Vivek Shraya and I would be a good match, but a few years after receiving her first call I’m comfortable referring to our collaboration a “career highlight.” She asked me to make a cover and 16 full-page interior illustrations for her now-released book,
She of the Mountains. It's a dual-narrative novel, with one part an allegorical re-imagined Hindu mythology narrative heavy on spirits, gods, desire, and transformation. The other part: a brown, queer, coming-of-age sexual-awakening love story. These were things I’d never even thought of illustrating, but Vivek knew there was a similarity between how I work, symbolically, and Hindu iconography. In this illustration you'll find the maternal figure of Kali, the goddess of death and time who simultaneously embodies sexuality, feminine energy, and violence. Printed in an open edition, signed and dated on reverse.
