To give you a quick tour of this place, the “portfolio” section is a 30-project overview of my fave illustrations from the last decade, a mix of editorial, commercial, and personal work. The “shop” section includes dozens and dozens of my art prints, some of which are personal projects, and others that are reprints of illustrations of mine that have earned lives outside of their original context.
Linguistic Anatomy 22x17” print ($60 CAD)

This was a half-page illustration titled "Linguistic Anatomy" for Montreal’s Maisonneuve magazine showing how languages work in close contact with each other, and also how they may even require each other to remain functional and living. I'm pretty sure I found the basic cow silhouette while diving through the University of Alberta's agriculture library, and that Slovene bird is a little hat-tip to my own family's background. Oh, and this was also accompanied by a little linguistic rabbit spot illustration, now long lost. Printed in an open edition, signed and dated on reverse.
