Yellowknife Northwest Territories 1969 24x36" print ($60 CAD)
The York University Map Library holds a few examples of “orthophoto” maps made using aerial or satellite photos to map an area without the need of a skilled cartographer, pen, and ink. You can see a Department of Defence Kingston orthophoto map elsewhere in the Civic Atlas, and here's a 1969 example of one showing Yellowknife from the Northwest Survey Corporation Ltd. Also, hear this Canadaland Commons podcast for info about the horrific Giant Mine which is just north of the area pictured if you follow the road at top left. Reprinted with a half-inch margin, sold without a frame.
