“Map of the City of Edmonton” print by C. G. Mundy. (1940)

I don't have much to say about this handsome map by C. G. Mundy's Mundy Map Co., other than it hasn't a date on it. Given there is a quote from "John W. Fry, Mayor" at bottom, it places it somewhere during his 1937-1945 mayoralty. Included in that quote: that "Edmonton is an idea holiday resort, with beautiful surroundings, natural parks, and every facility for sport and recreation."

The copyright status of Mundy's work is a little opaque, but the University of Calgary has their holdings of Mundy maps listed as in the public domain, even though Mundy himself died in 1972. If anyone can give a more reasonable argument for it being in the public domain than "his other work is," I'm all ears.
