"Bird's Eye View of London, Ontario, Canada" print by Eli Sheldon Glover (1872)

Eli Sheldon Glover’s career brought him to Canada twice, once in 1878 to make a spectacular image of Victoria, and another time in 1872 to make this colour view of London. I’d call both of them both masterpieces of the bird’s eye view genre, but this London image has definitely been corrupted by time and my touch-up skills could only go so far on it. Maybe that’s a plus, if you're into the patina of time?
