Arthur Oligny's 1947 Montréal map shows a few of the city's oddities and tourist magnets, from the Musée Historique Canadien ("America's most beautiful wax museum") to "French Canada's largest store" (Dupuis Frères at 865 St. Catherine E.). Also of note: the corner ad advertising my favourite "lost" building in the city, the newly-built Laurentien Hotel on the southwest corner of Dorchester Square.
A reproduction available at 16x12" or 24x18" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. Based on this original public domain image held by the York University Digital Library.
