"Eggs: the Production, Identification and Retention of Quality in Eggs" print (1947)
Usually government agricultural booklets leave their photographers uncredited, but because charming and glossy 48-pager from 1947 was put together by Ontario Agricultural College staff, we get a little closer to the picture-taker. It acknowledges "Mr. W. D. Tolton and staff of the Department of Public Relations" at the OAC for "securing the photographs used for illustrations." Also of note: besides being PR admin official, Tolton painted this 1945 winter landscape.
I'm also making the 1961 edition available. It's a federal publication, and it uses a similar tall typeface but replaces the two circular wingdings with cyan and magenta squares.
A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Ontario Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”Ontario Farming Forum” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
