Fallout on the Farm was the first Canadian Cold War-era booklet I ever found, and what an intriguing booklet it is. Inside it are chapters like "Facts About Fallout," "Personal Protection" and 24 pages about what do do with your soil, crops, water, livestock and dwellings in case of nuclear attack, straight from the Canadian Department of Agriculture. If you've read the horrifying Nuclear War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobsen, though, you'd know how futile those kinds of measures actually were (and are).

Both English and French editions have a hazard-yellow cover with a disturbing brown cloud on it, bringing its sense of menace to a whole other level. I wish I could sell you the whole booklet, but reproduction of its cover will have to do.

A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Canada Department of Agriculture and Ministère de l'Agriculture du Canada wordmarks on these covers have been replaced with the words ”National Farming Forum” and "Forum National de l'Agriculture" due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
