"Herbaceous Perennials for the Prairies" print (1971)
Herbaceous Perennials for the Prairies was put together in 1971 by H. F. Harp at the federal agricultural Research Station at Morden, Manitoba, and the entire publication follows the cover's aesthetic lead: everything is printed in navy and yellow (no black to be seen), with small rows of illustrated flowers separating sections. While the cover artist is uncredited, the layout and type choices are identical to Le Rutabega, published later that year.
A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Canada Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”Canadian Gardening News” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
