"Home Canning of Fruits and Vegetables" print (1947)
This early beauty lacks a central illustration, but makes up for it with skilled handmade script and delightful little decorative cherries and pears lining the artificial binding. Also, the scroll presenting the publishing information is priceless. While Agriculture Minister James G. Gardiner's name is the only credit given, he most likely didn't write a word for the booklet, let alone work on the (charming) design.
A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Canada Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”Canadian Home Economics” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
