"Ticks Affecting Man and Dogs in Canada" print (1972)
A copy of this print now hangs on the wall of my local veterinarian, an aesthetic piece and a useful reminder of the increasing prevalence of ticks in Canada.
Regarding its aesthetic qualities: its high modern deployment of circles is very similar to Production Laitiēre au Canada and Tuberous Begonias, both also published by Agriculture Canada in 1972. It makes me think the same (uncredited) designer made all three, along with the inspirationally beautiful and soon-to-be-public-domain Eggs and Egg Products (1973).
A booklet cover reproduction available at 12x18" or 24x36" on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm paper printed with Epson UltraChrome XD2 archival ink. Sold in an open edition, unframed. The Canada Department of Agriculture wordmark on this cover has been replaced with the words ”National Farming Forum” due to Section 9 of the Canadian Trademarks Act.
